Soundgarden and Audioslave's social media blacked out to remember Chris Cornell

Following the suicide of Chris Cornell, Soundgarden and Audioslave have blacked out their profile pictures on their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages. This is Soundgarden’s first public acknowledgment of their frontman's passing. Cornell, who co-founded the band in 1984, took his own life in a hotel room on May 17, shortly after Soundgarden’s concert at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.

Also Temple of the Dog, a group featuring members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, have also blacked out their pictures on Facebook.
