L7 to release first new music in 18 years

Los Angeles-based punk/grunge alla female band L7 announced the upcoming release of first new music in 18 years. The band is set to release two new singles this fall: the first is due out on September 29 via Don Giovanni.

The tracks were recorded in Hollywood’s EastWest Studios with producer Billy Bush, who is known for his work with Muse, Garbage, Beck, and more.

L7's last full-length release was 1999's "Slap Happy", then the group went on hiatus in 2001, but reunited with the original lineup (Donita Sparks, Suzi Gardner, Demetra Platas, and Jennifer Finch) in 2015.

Their Sarah Price-directed documentary "L7: Pretend We’re Dead" is set to be out on October 13.
