Beyoncé goes punk after "Lemonade" mistaken vinyl pressing

Thanks to a “human error” at the Celebrate Records vinyl pressing plant in Germany, Uphill Battle, an album by Ontario band Zex, was pressed on to the long-awaited, lemon-yellow vinyl instead of Beyonce's latest album "Lemonade".

The artist’s label, Columbia Records, has apologised for the error and is offering free replacement copies to anyone affected.

Zex guitarist Jo Galipeau, talking to "Slate", commented:

Some people have been writing to the band offering to sell their copy to us, at exorbitant prices.

He added that Bey's fans are not so disappointed, after all:

A lot of them have said, ‘Oh I like the surprise that I got on the other side, it’s good music,’ even though it’s not what they paid for.
