Live Nation launches Facebook Messenger bot for live concerts

The latest music company getting into the messaging-bots game is Live Nation, which launched a new Facebook Messenger bot yesterday.

The bot will help fans see what concerts are coming up at nearby venues, search for their favourite artists, or browse the current featured events chosen by Live Nation. They'll also be able to share details of gigs with friends from within Messenger, then buy tickets from within Facebook's flagship messaging app.

Live Nation is also using the bot as a data-collection tool: "As users interact with the bot, it will learn their preferences and start building their concert profile to serve up their favourite events in the future," it explained yesterday. For now, the bot covers events across North America only, and can be accessed through Live Nation's Facebook page.
