Kings Of Leon talk about new single "Radioactive"

Kings of Leon will release their new album "Come Around Sundown" on October 11. The record will contain 13 new songs.

Sessions took place at New York's Avatar Studios, with the band once again teaming up with producers Angelo Petraglia and Jacquire King.

Today the band talked put on their official YouTube channel a new interview about "Radiocative", the first single taken from the album.
The group is filmed speaking during the new videoclip's backstage, explaining the birth and the recording of the song. This is an excerpt of what they said:

When was the song born?
"We played it forever, we started after we wrote `Aha Shake Heartbeak´, it was kind of in between that album and `Because of the Times´ and there was actually a couple of songs like that that didn't make it, so we saved that songs until we didn't get it right".

How is it? Is it different from "Because of the Times"'s style?
"Yeah, is really different. Lyrically the choruses started up being like a spiritual, but the verses were never matched up to them at all, and they were weird verses. So we went in the studio and it wasn't really working and we wanted to scrap the all, but Caleb decided to go back to the original spiritual song that we've all sang growing up, and it was definitely matched up with the chorus so nice. It kinda worked out, it has a spiritual soul, this is where we came from".
