Aerosmith, new record should be out in May 2012

Aerosmith have begun work on their new album. Steven Tyler and co. are currently working in Pandora's Box, their own Massachussets studio to complete the new material, the first since 2004 blues covers CD "Honkin' On Bobo" and first featuring completely new material since 2001's "Just Push Play". According to longtime producer Jack Douglas, a possible release date has emerged in these days.
"The new album should be out around May 2012," says Douglas. "I know that’s a long wait, but after the South American tour and Japan in October, November and December, we will get back to work on it in mid-January". The producer also spoke about the sound of the new songs: "For those who are asking, this album will be raw, nasty, tough rock with a good deal of the old Aerosmith ‘tongue in cheek’, he added.
