Paul McCartney to release new record in 2012

Paul McCartney will release a new record in 2012. The album is still untitled but Sir Paul has announced that it will be released on February 6 and will feature some very special guests.

The LP will feature covers that inspired the Beatles member during his childhood and two new compositions and will also receive the contribution of Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder.

Macca talked about the new songs with the press and stated: "I always thought artists like Fred Astaire were very cool. Writers like Harold Arlen, Cole Porter, all of those guys - I just thought the songs were magical," he added. "And then, as I got to be a songwriter I thought it's beautiful, the way they made those song'".
