Heavy D cause of death revealed

New details have emerged about the death of rapper Heavy D. The artist died for a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis. The hip-hop star, real name Dwight Arrington Myers, was found at his home on November 8.

Yesterday, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has stated that Heavy D died for a pulmonary embolism, more commonly known as a blood clot, in one of his legs, which was brought on by deep vein thrombosis. The rapper also suffered from heart disease, which could have also been a contributory factor.

The rapper, also an actor and producer, appeared with Michael Jackson on the 1991 track "Jam" and played at the recent tribute concert to Jackson in Cardiff earlier this year. He also recorded duets with the likes of Notorious BIG and Janet Jackson during his career.
