Lost Thin Lizzy songs coming in a box set

On Phil Lynott's 26th anniversary of death (January, 4, 1986) there's good news for Thin Lizzy fans.Selections from a recently unearthed collection of lost recordings by the hard rock band will finally be released ibn a new box set to be out during this year.

According to the Belfast Telegraph Lynott passed off about 150 tapes of previously unreleased Thin Lizzy material to an disclosed recipient, including alternate takes of hit tunes and never-before-heard songs recorded between 1971 and 1981 - before his untimely passing at the age of 36.
Apparently this unnamed third party was impressed by Universal’s handling of "Live At The BBC" (a boxset released last year of recordings Thin Lizzy made at the BBC) and entrusted the record label with the task of disseminating this treasure trove of goodies.

The project manager for the new as-yet-untitled box set, Steve Hammonds, notes that the surviving members of Thin Lizzy, Scott Gorham and Brian Downey, will have a hands-on role in the new release and what exactly makes it into the set.
