The Stranglers announce new record "Giants"

The punk heroes are back. The Stranglers will release their new album "Giants" on March 5, the first effort since the 2006's "Suite XVI". The band will also embark on a new UK tour to promote the new material.

The group begun playing in 1974 under the name The Guildford Stranglers in Guildford, Surrey. The current members are Jet Black on drums, JJ Burnel on bass/lead vocals, Dave Greenfield on keyboards and Baz Warne on guitar/lead vocals.

The style of the band has always been punk/rock driven, but The Stranglers reached their mainstream success with the single "Golden Brown".
