Dylan pays tribute to Scorsese

The Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday night paid tribute to one of contemporary cinema’s greatest directors, Martin Scorsese.

Scorsese was given the Music + Film Award, to celebrate his achievements in storytelling as well as his musical documentary work chronicling the lives and careers of greats such as Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, and most recently George Harrison.

After a touching introduction by Harrison’s wife, Olivia, Bob Dylan was invited on stage to pay tribute to the American master, performing "Blind Willie McTell" – a track unsurprisingly used in Scorsese’s 2003 documentary "The Blues" – in his broken yet almost prophetic voice.
