First Aid Kit live@Rockol: here's the video

First Aid Kit are one the strongest folk group of the last years. Klara and Johanna are two young Swedish girls, respectively 21 and 18, but they play and sing like they were coming from the US in the 50s or the 60s.

Their music is full of the spirit of Emmylou Harris, Joan Baez and Johnny Cash. Their second record "The lion's roar" is a little gem of alt-folk. The duo has come to our editorial office and has played for us one of the new songs, "Blue". And as a special surprise First Aid Kit have also played "Swallow song", a Spanish traditional sung in the past by artists like Mimi Farina and Joan Baez.

"I decided to be a musician after I've first heard Bright Eyes on the radio", Klara confessed to us, "They seemed so true and the I thought: 'I can do the same if i pick a guitar, let's try'. And so I convinced Johanna to play with me".

You can see the First Aid Kit performance right here. Enjoy.

The First Aid Kit are young, but they already have a lot of things to be proud of. They made Patti Smith cry for their version of "Dancing barefoot". And they have also recorded two songs for Jack White's Third Man Records. "With Jack everything was so fast and exciting, I can assure you", they stated.
