Fleet Foxes' drummer leaves the band

Fleet Foxes' drummer Joshua Tilman has left the band. The musician has announced his decision on his official website and he wrote: ""Farewell Fleet fans and friends. Back into the gaping maw of obscurity I go. Tokyo is my last show with the Foxes. Sorry if I was distant and obtuse if we ever met. Have fun".

Tilman has stayed with the Foxes for four years. He was the live drummer but he has also played on both studio records "Fleet Foxes" and "Helplessness blues".

Fleet Foxes hasn't still announced the official replacement for Tilman or has not given an official statement about the drummer's departure. The band hill the road again in March for All Tomorrow's Parties Festival in the UK. This year's edition is curated by the genius of Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum.

Fleet Foxes formed in Seattle in, Washington in 2006 and were surprisingly signed to grunge label Sub Pop to publish their eponymous debut record.
