Lee Brice escapes tour bus fire

Country star Lee Brice escaped a fire last night. The tour bus carrying Brice caught fire outside of Toby Keith’s Bar & Grill in the Phoenix suburb of Mesa (where he was scheduled to perform), forcing the musician and his crew to flee. The vehicle had travelled for nine hours straight and the driver barely managed to stop before the flames started spreading.

Brice and a few other people of the crew were asleep at the time. The singer said: "I was actually sleeping. A few of us were sleeping. They were like, bus is on fire, we’re not kidding. So we had to run off and within a couple of minutes it was in flames. The whole back of the lounge was apparently burned through".

Shaun Denman, a Mesa-based firefighter, told AP that the fire's flames were "about as high as the roof of the (restaurant) building" and fire personnel worked speedily to stop the blaze from spreading.

At the time we're writing, no formal statement from Brice's PR camp is available and no mention of the event was posted on the singer's official website. Anyway, Brice performed his Mesa concert, as scheduled.
