Garbage to release new record in spring

Garbage are set to release their new record in the spring. The album will be released on the band's own label Sturnvolume. The band has completed several new songs like "Time will destroy everything", "Blood For Poppies", "Automatic Systematic Habit", "Control" and "Lies, Lies, Lies".

Garbage have recently reformed, after the 2005's indefinite hiatus and singer Shirley Manson's solo career. The still untitled new effort was recorded in Atwater Village in Los Angeles, produced by Garbage and mixed by the band's drummer Butch Vig. The group has also confirmed that will start a worldwide tour to support the new material.

Butch Vig is not a common musician. He produced the Nirvana's masterpiece "Nevermind", just to give an example. Talking about the new Garbage record, he stated: "There's lots of elements of things we've always loved: noisy guitars, big electronic beats, atmospheric film moments. We wanted to make a record that sounded like something that we want to hear when we're driving the car".
