Fiona Apple will soon release her new album

After a six years wait, Fiona Apple's fans can finally celebrate. The Manhattan singer will soon release her new and long awaited record. The confirmation comes from Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid. Reid posted on Twitter on Sunday confirming the rumors.

He wrote: "Lots of good music coming from @Epic_Records in the next few weeks. Stay tuned music fans. Welcome back Fiona!". When a follower asked further details, he added "YES Fiona Apple!".

In the meanwhile, there are no details about the album: no release date, no title and no tracklisting. But according to Reid the new effort should be out really soon.

In the last months a new song from Fiona Apple has emerged online. The track is titled "So sleepy" and has been recorded with  producer Jon Brion. "So Sleepy," will be featured on the "Chickens in Love" benefit album, a compilation of songs co-written by Los Angeles youth at the creative writing non-profit 826LA.

Fiona Apple was born in Manhattan, New York, in 1977. Her first studio album was "Tidal" in 1996, while the last one is the 2005's "Extraordinary machine".
