Macy Gray covers Metallica, Radiohead & more

Macy Gray will treat her fans with a new album full of covers by the likes of Kanye West, Metallica and Radiohead. "Covered" - that's the title of the album - was produced by Hal Willner and it will be released on March, 27 by 429 Records.

Macy chose to reinterpret mostly indie rock songs from the last decade; it's material she has been performing live in recent years. Arcade Fire's "Wake Up" and My Chemical Romance's "Teenagers" are among the songs Gray has overhauled. A few spoken word skits break up the music. The inspiration for the record came from Nina Simone's covers.

The singer recently finished filming on "The Paperboy" (starring John Cusack, Zach Efron, Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey) and she will start a worldwide tour to support the album.

Here is the complete "Covered" tracklist:
"Here Comes The Rain Again" (Eurythmics)
"Creep" (Radiohead)
"You Want Them Nervous" (skit featuring J.B. Smoove)
