Madonna's Super Bowl Show causing controversy

Maybe it's simply "a case of adrenaline", like M.I.A. (in the photo) stated. But Madonna's halftime show at the Super Bowl is causing an endless controversy. Now, US television network NBC has been forced to issue a full apology after M.I.A raised her middle finger during the half time show at last night's (February 5) Super Bowl.

The Indian singer was performing together with the "Material girl" during the song "Gimme all your luvin'" when the "big deal" happened. "She was caught in the moment and she's incredibly sorry" a source said to explain M.I.A.'s gesture.

The performance was 12-minutes long and featured artists like LMFAO, who sung their hits "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy And I Know It" mixed with Madonna's "Music", and Cee Lo Green, who joined the stage for "Open your heart" and "Like a prayer".

There were other debates about the Madonna's appearance. According to some critics, miss Ciccone sung mostly of the show in playback. She didn't reply to these rumors. You can see the full Halftime Show right here via YouTube.

The official statement from the NBC reports: "The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show. Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers. There was a failure in NBC's delay system. The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans".
