New Depeche Mode's record is on the way

After three years of silence, Depeche Mode are planning their big comeback. In an interview with magazine The Quietus, founding member and multi-instrumentalist Martin Gore has revealed that the band will go in the studio in March to finish the still untitled new record.

There are still no details regarding a possible tracklist of the songs. Gore anyway has confirmed that much of the inspiration for the Depeche's new material has come from his project with the other ex-founding member of the Essex group Vince Clarke. Their techno pop effort is titled "SSSS" and will come out on Mute on March 12th under the moniker VCMG.

So, Gore stated: "I think I went back to actually writing for the band with much more vigour afterwards, because I had taken such a break. It gave me a real creative impetus". To clarify everything, he added that: The stuff I've been doing for the band is completely different to VCMG".
