New Joey Ramone's posthumous album in May

Rock legends never die. It is also the case of Joey Ramone. The ex-Ramones leader, who died from lymphoma in April 2001, will be celebrated on the next May 17 with the posthumous record "Ya know?" and live somehow again through his music.

The confirmation comes from the magazine Rolling Stone. The album, the follow-up to the other posthumous release "Don't worry about me, Joey", will feature 17 tracks recorded as demoes during the last years of Joey's career.

"Ya know?" will contain songs such as "Rock & Roll Is the Answer", "New York City" and "Waiting for That Railroad". The contribution to the final recordings were given by a bunch of artists including Joan Jett, Steven Van Zandt from Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, Richie Ramone, and members of Cheap Trick.

Joey Ramone was born in May 19, 1951 in Queens, New York. He died of lymphoma at New York-Presbyterian Hospital on April 15, 2001, after a strong seven-year battle against the disease.
