Glen Hansard announces his first solo album 'Rhythm and ripose'

Glen Hansard has been active on the music scene from 20 years, firstly as lead singer of The Frames, then as member of The Swell Season, being the protagonist of the movie "Once".

Now the Irish artist is ready to return with his first solo album titled "Rhythm and ripose". The album will hit the stores on June 18, it was recorded in New York and produced by Thomas Bartlett. Hansard will present his new songs with a summer tour that will start in Wiesen, Germany, on July 6.

Glen Hansard has also signed two of the tracks that will become part of the soundtrack of "Hunger Game", the upcoming film directed by Gary Ross. In the meanwhile, we can listen to The Frames' song "Happy".
