Simon never recording again with Garfunkel

The legendary duo of Simon & Garfunkel released their last album together in 1970 ("Bridge Over Troubled Water") shortly before they split in 1970. Since then they reunited for brief public appearances and a couple of tours - a 13-date tour was planned for 2010, but was postponed indefinitely due to Garfunkel's vocal chords problems.

Paul Simon, interviewed by BBC's arts correspondent Rebecca Jones, when asked if he would record with his former musical partner Art Garfunkel again, he replied that he "would just as soon not go back and visit the past". So it seems that, although the duo could possibly be on the same stage again, there will never be a new album or new music.

On the same topic of recording together again, Garfunkel said previously: "You’ll have to ask him, it takes two to tango. I like to tango, so count me in. You’ll just have to bring a psychiatrist in as the third member".
