A box of BBC archives material for The Kinks

Legendary band The Kinks are about to see the release of an amazing box set simply called "The Kinks at BBC". There will be two editions a plain 2-cd set and a 5-cd plus dvd one; all the discs feature sessions, live recordings and unreleased material from throughout the band's career. The DVD in the box set features footage from the band's performances on "Top of the Pops", "In Concerts", and "The Old Grey Whistle Test".

The release comes directly from Universal and according to a press release, "'The Kinks at the BBC' has been assembled by trawling the BBC archives, but also by inviting contributions from fans who helped dust off rogue broadcasts which may have fallen by the wayside".
