Cameron Strang is the new label head of Warner Bros.

With an official statement, Warner Bros. announced - during the afternoon of December 6 - the resignation of president/CEO Todd Moscowitz.
From now on, Rob Cavallo and Livia Tortella (Warner Bros. Records' Chairman and co-President/COO, respectively) will report directly to Warner/Chappell Music chairman and CEO Cameron Strang, who added the label to his already impressive portfolio of responsibilities. Strang, indeed, already leads WMG’s Music Publishing Catalog Development division, which includes Warner/Chappell Music and Rhino Entertainment.

Stephen Cooper, WMG’s CEO, commented: "Since joining WMG, Cameron has demonstrated strong leadership, both in the revitalization of our Warner/Chappell music publishing arm as well as through his service on the WMG Board of Directors. He has broad knowledge of both the music publishing and recorded music businesses, combined with an entrepreneurial drive and progressive vision for the role of music companies. I’m confident that he will be a significant champion for Warner Bros. Records as we continue to invest in A&R and position the label for even greater success".

Strang will now oversee all of WMG's West Coast U.S. operations, becoming the Warner Music Group executive most likely to step into the departed WMG recorded music chairman/CEO Lyor Cohen's shoes.
