CD Baby: over $250 million paid to independent musicians

CD Baby, the online music distributing service, reached the milestone of over $250 million paid to artists around the world for digital download sales, on-demand streaming revenue, physical CD sales, and sync licensing royalties.
"For years, we've been paying musicians every single Monday," explains CD Baby president Brian Felsen, "but to have hit the 250 million mark for payouts - that's a big achievement for the artists who work with CD Baby, and I want to both congratulate and thank them".
According to CD Baby, this year alone they have paid $50 million.

CD Baby gives artists a way to manage multiple music revenue flows through a single account: from distribution to a network of digital music partners to physical distribution to thousands of record stores; a sync-licensing program and an easy way to sell direct-to-fan via CD Baby's MusicStore for Facebook app and MusicStore widget.
