Spotify ready for Italy: Veronica Diquattro steps in as country's Market Lead

As Spotify gets ready for a Q1 launch in Italy, Veronica Diquattro has been appointed as Market Lead for the Italian branch of the Swedish based music digital service platform.

Diquattro, who will be based in Milan, has been working for Google in Dublin for the past two and a half years, first in online advertising for Italian SMBs and then as a market specialist for Google Play (Apps, Music, Movies, Books, Hardware) covering both the Italian and Spanish markets after working on launches of the new verticals in those countries.
Before being hired by Google, Veronica Diquattro – an Università Bocconi graduate - had experienced a two year stint in tourism in Lima, Peru, where she backpacked across the Andes and volcanoes as an online marketing manager for a hostel chain.

Spotify recently announced overcoming the 5 million paying users threshold and introduced new discovery functions, besides announcing its 2012 list of top artists and apps.
