This week on Digital Music Trends Andrea Leonelli is joined by David Riley from Good Lizard Media and Clyde Smith from Hypebot. We kick off a new run of the podcast by looking at the music sales figures from 2012 coming from the US (Nielsen/Billboard) and the UK (BPI/Official Charts Company). Nothing hugely uplifting but things could be worse... We also talk about Spotify's move away from downloads in Europe, Led Zeppelin considering licensing their catalogue to a streaming services (and is there a reason for any huge act not to?) and finally we end by talking about crowdfunding and the 2013 check-list for any musician or band - especially unsigned ones - to kick-start the year and optimise the time spent online.
