Live Nation expands its operations in the Middle East with Ticketmaster

Live Nation Entertainment has expanded its field of operations in the Middle East area, opening a Ticketmaster division in the United Arab Emirates: Ticketmaster Middle East. Led by David Grisham, formerly with Ticketmaster in Canada, it will be based in Dubai Media City.

The new branch will initially operate in the United Arab Emirates but it is expected to expand its services to other countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

Alan Ridgeway, Live Nation President of International and Emerging Markets, commented: "We have been operating our concert business in the Middle East for five years and in that time have seen a significant increase in the number of concerts and sporting events taking place in the UAE and elsewhere in the region. I am pleased that we are now in a position to offer event organisers and ticket buyers in the region the level of service that they have grown accustomed to in our other markets around the globe".

Events currently on-sale at www.ticketmaster.ae include Dubai Jazz Festival, Metallica, Chris Tucker and Creamfields.
