Black Sabbath's new album will be out on June 11

Black Sabbath have finally unveiled the release date of their new album - the first in 35 years with the original line-up (minus drummer Bill Ward).

The new studio work is called "13" and is set to be out on June 11 (even if the earliest reports were talking about a June 10 release). It'll be available in different formats, including the standard cd album release, a deluxe double cd album (featuring a second disc of bonus material), 12" heavyweight vinyl (180g) in a gatefold sleeve plus a super-deluxe box set containing the documentary "Black Sabbath - The Reunion".

The Sabs recorded their new album mainly in Los Angeles with the help of renowned producer Rick Rubin; on drums, in place of Bill Ward, the band hired Rage Against The Machine's Brad Wilk. Ward refused to be part of the whole reunion due to contractual disagreements over money.

In advance of the new album, Black Sabbath will tour Australia, New Zealand and play a show at Ozzfest in Japan. Additional tour plans are expected to be announced in the coming days.
