Freddie Mercury-Michael Jackson 1983 duets out this autumn

Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson, back in 1983, recorded together three tracks in which they duetted: the sessions took place in Jackson's home studio, in Encino (California).

The tracks, then, never saw the light of the day because the two singers were supposed to arrange a second session together, but never got to it - so the project was shelved.

Now it seems the three songs ("There Must Be More to Life Than This", "State of Shock" and "Victory" - which provided the title of the Jacksons' 1984 album), which were cleared for release only in 2011, will be released this fall, as confirmed by Queen guitarist Brian May.

May also added that the songs are "exciting, challenging, emotionally taxing. But cool".
