Virgin-Atlantic planning gigs on domestic flights in the UK

Virgin-Atlantic airlines is going to stage gigs on the domestic flights of its new UK domestic airline, Little Red.

According to The Telegraph, after the sets from stand-up comedians on flights to Edinburgh this month, starting from September the airline will be booking gigs reportedly inspired by the "rich music scenes in Scotland and Manchester".
The performing artists will be announced using the company's official social media channels, but there won't be any way to know in advance which particular flights will be hosting performances, so travellers will have surprise gigs while flying.
The airline's founder Richard Branson said the new initiative aims to "shake up domestic flying in the UK".

Branson also added: "In true Virgin Atlantic spirit we're doing something a little different and providing our passengers with a line-up of gigs to ensure we offer a truly unforgettable flying experience on Little Red".
Little Red flies daily from London Heathrow to Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Manchester.
