Mazzy Star talk about their forthcoming comeback album

Mazzy Star are about to come back with their first album after 17 years of hiatus. But they never stopped writing and recording, despite keeping a distance from stages and the common steps of the life of a functioning band - as David Roback told Rolling Stone.
"We never stopped writing or recording. We just stopped performing and releasing things", he unveiled.

Roback also explained: "This new album has a lot of different combinations of instruments, acoustic and electric in different combinations we haven't used so much before. It's kind of a subtle thing we're more aware of, but it's interesting for us to perform this music live now. There's a lot of subtlety in the music, and to actually put that across live, when it happens, it's really exciting".

The band's fourth studio album 'Seasons Of Your Day' will come out on September 24. It was recorded in California and Norway and written by Hope Sandoval and Roback.
