Kasabian announce huge 10th anniversary gig in June

Kasabian will celebrate their tenth anniversary in 2014; to mark the special event they announced a huge homecoming gig in Leicester that will take place in Victoria Park, on June 21 - when the band will be headlining 35,000 capacity concert.

Tickets, priced at £39.50, go on sale on Friday, November 29, at 9am.

Guitarist Sergio Pizzorno commented: "It feels like it was just meant to be. It's going to be the 10-year anniversary of the first album, so it feels right. It feels like we've been building up to this since the start. We're so excited. Hopefully the whole city will come alive".
The guitar player also hopes the gig will inspire local kids: "We really want to do something to inspire the next generation of kids. If you're a kid and you see a band from down the road play a big gig in your city. I hope that's inspiring," he said. "We had to travel round the country to see the bands we liked when we were young, so it's great to be able to do this".
