Sting and Paul Simon to tour together

Sting and Paul Simon are currently busy rehearsing for an upcoming joint tour in which they will take turns singing some of each other's biggest hits.
Simon launched the idea and, since the two are neighbours in New York, he simply went downstairs in their apartment building and asked Sting if he would be interested. The answer was, obviously, yes - since Sting has been a fan of Simon & Garfunkel since his teen years in England.
"Paul had a long partnership with Art Garfunkel for many, many years, and it's not my job to impersonate Art", Sting commented. "He has one of the most iconic, beautiful voices in the history of rock `n' roll. But my job is to interpret and honor the notes and the lyrics that have been written, and I will be me. But I'm delighted to sing songs from that canon".

The two artists are now selecting the tracks for the set list. Sting said Simon has asked him to sing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and Sting asked if they could include "America". The tour opens in Houston on February 8.

Sting and Simon first sang together at a charity benefit in New York last year.
