Rihanna (with Bruno Mars) is the most pirated artist of the year

British web analytics company Musicmetric analysed the data of peer to peer traffic and found out that – during 2013 – the two most pirated artists have been Rihanna and Bruno Mars.

Musicmetric mainly used data relating to Bittorrent and discovered that Rihanna and Mars have been downloaded more than five million times each, during the past 12 months. Daft Punk and Justin Timberlake come second, and were both illegally downloaded around four million times.

The odd thing is that neither Bruno Mars or Rihanna released an album during 2013 (their latest works, "Unorthodox Jukebox" and "Unapologetic" both came out in the end of 2012).
