Flaming Lips Announce 'Sgt. Pepper's' tribute album release date

The Flaming Lips lately have been recording their song-for-song tribute to the Beatles' classic 1967 album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". The title of the project is "With a Little Help From My Fwends" and now it also has an official release date: it's due out on October 28 via Warner Bros Records.

The album can be pre-ordered from May 18, with a special gift: a download code to get the "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" cover, featuring Miley Cyrus and Moby.

A portion of the album's sales will benefit the Bella Foundation, an organization in the band's Oklahoma City hometown that helps low income, elderly, or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care.
