Denovali Swingfest 2014 in Essen: first chunk of line-up unveiled

After two very successfull editions in Berlin and London - earlier this year - Denovali Swingfest is coming back to its hometown Essen (Germany) with a 4-day-festival which will take place the first weekend of October 2014. The line-up features Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, The Haxan Cloak, Demdike Stare, Hauschka, Bohren und der Club of Gore, Greg Haines, Rafel Anton Irrisari and more.
Mainly conceived as a label festival, Denovali will also host guest artists representing the label's mood and context. Not limited to one musical genre, Denovali Swingfest offers a diverse range of music styles from darker experimental sounds, ambient, drone, indie and electronica to darkjazz, jazz or piano and string driven modern compositions.

The festival again takes place on four days (From October 2 to October 5) at the WeststadtHalle. This year's edition will feature 21 artists on the regular days and a piano pre-event with two artists - on Thursday October 2.
