R.I.P. Johnny Winter, blues legend dead at 70

According to several sources close to Johnny Winter, the legendary blues guitarist died on July 16. At the moment the news hasn't been officially broken, but it's starting to spread online and probably it's not a hoax.
Even Jenda derringer - wife of Rick Derringer, longtime bandmate of Winter's - announced via Facebook: "We just were told by a reliable source that Johnny Winter has passed".

Winter has been battling with health troubles for years and Mrs. Derringer reports that he was "not in good health and was very frail and weak" although a cause of death has not been revealed as of press time.

Winter's new album, "Step Back", is due out on September 2; it features collaborations with some of rock’s greatest musicians like Eric Clapton, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and more.
