CTS Eventim becomes official Ticketing Services Provider for Rio 2016

German-based ticket selling company CTS Eventim has been appointed the exclusive Ticketing Services Provider for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. CTS Eventim has headquarters in Bremen and Munich, but operates in 23 countries.
The company was chosen via a public bidding process attended by domestic and international companies; it will handle every aspect of the operation through its subsidiary company CTS Eventim Brazil.

CTS Eventim already provided the ticketing platforms for the Turin 2006 Winter Olympics and the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, as well as for Sochi 2014 earlier this year.

Nine million tickets are expected to be issued for the Olympics. Tickets will be accessible online, as well as via both a call centre and a box office, with more details to be announced over coming months before the process opens.
