Tricky: 'Massive Attack say we're collaborating, but I know nothing about it'

Tricky just released his acclaimed new album "Adrian Thaws" (which is, by the way, his real name). Our colleagues of rockol.it had the chance to interview him a few days ago and found him in a good, chatty mood - not a usual thing, with him.

Besides talking about his new album and the meaning of certain songs featured in it, Tricky dropped the classic bomb, practically denying the rumours of a new collaboration with Massive Attack.

In a 2013 interview, indeed, Robert Del Naja confirmed that there was a new Massive Attack album in the works and that rumours of a reunion with Tricky were true (Tricky hasn't been featured on a Massive Attack album since 1994's "Protection"). But the artist told our colleagues: "It's weird. The say we're working together and I'll be on their next album, but I know nothing about such a thing. I haven't seen them in years. Actually, I prefer going to the pub with my friends postmen and taxi drivers, instead of spending time with musicians. I wouldn't know what to say to egocentric people like that, taking themselves too seriously".
