David Gilmour plans new solo album and tour in 2015

Pink Floyd's adventure will be over with the release of "Endless River", but David Gilmour has plans to keep himself busy. Indeed he revealed he has been working on a new solo album he hopes to release in 2015.
Talking about the follow-up to his 2006 solo effort "On An Island", Gilmour told "Rolling Stone": "It’s coming along very well. There are some sketches that aren’t finished, and some of them will be started again. There’s a few months’ work in it yet. I’m hoping to get it out this following year".

The guitarist and singer also hinted at Ha possible solo tour - actually an "an old man’s tour", something he defined as "not a 200-date sort of thing".

As widely reported, there will be no tour to support "Endless River", since much of the record features keyboardist Rick Wright, who died of cancer in 2008. "Without him, that’s kind of impossible", Gilmour explained.
