Warner Music flies new music industry private-jet touring service

Warner Music UK has publicly endorsed Victor Music, a pioneering independent venture designed to meet the growing demand for customised private-jet travel services for the international music community.

It means millionaire mega music stars like the Rolling Stones or the members of Pink Floyd are no longer the only ones who can afford to travel by private jet because they own one.

Thanks to Victor Music, a new dedicated international service from UK-based Victor (a flexible on-demand private jet charter service for the rich and affluent), all artists have access to a private plane without having to possess one.

For the right fee, Victor Music offers high-end tour travel management services, whether it is for a one-off appearance, a whistle-stop tour, or a year-long global tour.

As live music continues to generate more revenues compared to recorded music, Victor Music says requests for highly efficient tour travel management are rising.

The company says it is the “only service to offer complete transparency of costs and details of the actual aircraft before booking, delivering side by side competitive quotes, making it easier for tour managers to compare the best options”.

London-based Mike Ryan, Victor’s commercial and operations director, notes that escalating demand is also coming from electronic-dance DJs, who might need to follow an 11pm gig in one territory with a 2am show in another.

“The act’s equipment and personal luggage might move around in lorries while the crew travels on buses. But when a band needs to be at the next gig overnight, you need to offer 24-hour flights,” Ryan explains.

“They would rather wake up where the next show is instead of worry about whether they would make it in time. The management needs to make sure they are there to play the following evening, and commercial aircrafts might not be available to do that.”

The company’s online booking system, now available via an app too, offers artists and the management the ability to choose the most appropriate aircraft, instead of having one imposed on them.

The app gives everyone in the chain of organising the tour access to information about itinerary developments, airport closures, weather forecasts and change in plans, simultaneously.

Jason Morais, vice president, UK artist relations & international events at Warner Music, said: “Victor is simple to use and puts us in control of our artists’ travel schedules.”
