THE THE frontman Matt Johnson joins Kobalt Publishing

Matt Johnson, singer/songwriter, composer and founder of the band THE THE, has signed a global publishing administration deal with Kobalt Music Publishing (KMP).

The deal covers his previous album soundtrack work for the independent films "Tony" and "Moonbug"; as well as all future compositions, starting with the soundtrack for the film "Hyena", released under (the) THE THE name on March 6 (to coincide with the film’s opening in UK cinemas).
All three film soundtracks are released on Johnson’s own label, Cinéola, and will be distributed by Essential Music & Marketing. Each is packaged as a deluxe edition CD/Book, filled with exclusive material such as photographs, interviews, stills from the films and notes from the directors. A double-disc vinyl version will also be available via an exclusive licensing deal between Cinéola and Death Waltz Recording Company.

A new THE THE artist album is also in the works.
