Mark Ronson, Ellie Goulding and Hozier lead The Official Top 40 Biggest Songs of 2015 so far

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars scooped the official biggest song of 2015 so far with their hit "Uptown Funk", as confirmed by the Official Charts Company.

Ronson and Bruno Mars' banger first hit the chart back in December and spent a total of seven weeks at number one. The Bruno Mars-assisted funk-soul track  has combined sales of 1.44 million this year alone (1.93 million in total).

Follows at Number 2 Hozier’s "Take Me To Church", which sold 996,000 copies and is the only entry in the Top 5 to not actually take the number one spot in the weekly chart.

OMI's "Cheerleader" takes the third place with 994,00 equivalent sales since its April release, follows Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do" from "50 Shades of Grey" soundtrack, with 983,000 sales; the track spent four weeks at Number 1 and is the first of two entries for Goulding on biggest-singles list. Her feature on Calvin Harris' Top 10 hit "Outside" places at Number 40.
