LyricFind signs deal with R2G to enter China

LyricFind, one of the leading providers of licensed lyrics in the online space, has signed a partnership with R2G, a Chinese digital music distributor, thus expanding its reach into China.

The partnership will enable R2G to include licensed lyrics as parts of its offering, broadening the spectrum of services it can provide.

R2G runs Wawa, China’s largest independent online music store, and has deals with both local and international content providers. The company over the past few years has worked to create a legal, legitimate music market in China.

The country has so far remained a footnote in global recorded music and music publishing revenues but more and more companies like R2G are working towards building a sustainable ecosystem that could propel China to become an important contributor to the global music economy.

LyricFind is quickly expanding its international footprint, the company recently made a push into Europe by opening a London office headed by Will Mills.
