Nicki Minaj will open 2015 MTV VMAs

Nicki Minaj will open the 2015 MTV  Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 30). 

Minaj teased the announcement earlier on her Instagram and Twitter with a very special sonogram featuring an MTV Moonman, in turn mocking recent rumours that she's pregnant. Later she deleted the teaser pic but according to MTV she will perform at the ceremony.

This year's performance comes after Minaj's jaw-dropping performance of "Anaconda" durin the 2014's ceremony. She joins the likes of Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tori Kelly, A$AP Rocky and Twenty One Pilots on the bill for this year's ceremony.
