Watch Keith Richards' "Under The Influence" documentary

"People think Keith Richards is smoking a joint, bottle in his hand, cursing the fact that the liquor store's closed" laughs the Rolling Stones legend at the beginning of the trailer for Netflix's new Keith Richards documentary.

The docufilm is directed by Oscar winner Morgan Neville ("20 Feet From Stardom"), "Under the Influence" charts the life and times of rock's original bad boy, looking back at his original jazz and blues inspirations as he plans his first solo album in 23 years, "Crosseyed Heart". The film will be available on Netflix from Friday, September 18.

Richards says in the trailer:

With the Stones going into hibernation, I was itching to get back into the studio and cut a few tracks.

Meanwhile, Richards recently said to Entertainment Weekly that The Rolling Stones could start work on a new studio album next year.

He went on to add:

After we do South America in February and March [2016], I’d love to get in the studio in April. But I know what those guys are like. When they finish a tour, they don’t want to do nothing!
