Julian Casablancas confirms The Strokes are back in the studio to record new music

According to Landmark Music Festival audience The Strokes are working on a new album.
There could be new music from the New York band soon as leader singer Julian Casablancas on Sunday night (September 27) announced that they're working on new music.

While performing at Washington, D.C.’s Landmark Festival Casablancas reportedly told the crowd, “We’ll be back soon. We’ll be back in the studio and sh-t.”

A new record would mark The Strokes' sixth album and the follow-up to 2013's "Comedown Machine".

Guitarist Nick Valensi’s wife, Amanda de Cadenet, later tweeted that the “cat was out of the bag”.
