Kurt Cobain: early version of “Sappy” from upcoming solo album officially online - LISTEN

On November 13 a posthumous solo album by Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain will hit the stores. It's called - as widely reported - "Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings" and it's built around the soundtrack of the Brett Morgen-directed documentary "Montage of Heck", which is due out on dvd and Blu-ray on the same day.

The album compiles various unheard song, demos, and "musical experiments"; among them is an early acoustic version of "Sappy", which is now streaming in advance and you can listen to it below (actually it has been around, as a bootleg, for years, and this is an official première). A finished, full-band version of the song later appeared on the 1993 AIDS-benefit compilation album "No Alternative" under the title, “Verse Chorus Verse”.

“Sappy” will also be available on limited-edition 7-inch vinyl, accompanied by Cobain’s cover of The Beatles’ “And I Love Her”.
