Another Amy Winehouse biopic in the works: Noomi Rapace could star in itorks

There's a new biopic in the works, about the life of British singer Amy Winehouse and - reportedly - actress Noomi Rapace could star in it.

Rapace is in talks to portray the soulful singer in a movie which will be titled simply "Amy Winehouse"; it will be written and directed by Irish filmmaker Kristen Sheridan, while Alexandra Whitlin is producing the project, for which CAA is in the process of arranging financing and packaging. CAA and UTA are co-representing the project, although sources say it is not being shopped at the American Film Market. Talks are also underway with Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, who handles her estate, to obtain music rights.

Rapace is the Swedish actress who starred in the screen adaptations of Stieg Larsson "Millennium" series.
